ChatGPT Can Now Write First and Schedule Tasks

OpenAI has launched the beta version of Tasks, a new feature that lets users schedule reminders and recurring prompts.

Now, ChatGPT can remind you about your passport expiration in six months or generate a weekend itinerary every Friday based on your location and the weather forecast.

To use it, select the “4o with scheduled tasks” model and enter your request. ChatGPT may also suggest creating a task based on your current conversation. Tasks can be managed within chats or in the Tasks section on the web version, and once completed, the bot will send a notification.

The feature is available to Plus, Team, and Pro subscribers, with no timeline for broader availability. Users can have up to 10 active tasks at a time.
