Brazil's Eve Holding has announced that Blade India had signed a purchase order for up to 200 of its electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOLs) in order to expand its urban air mobility ecosystem.

A joint venture between Hunch Ventures and Blade Air Mobility, Blade India will also collaborate with Eve, a company controlled by a Brazilian planemaker Embraer, on a three-month pilot project connecting passengers using helicopters.

The original name of Embraer's eVTOL aircraft was DreamMaker. In 2020, the company changed the name of DreamMaker to Eve and recorded a trademark filing for Eve and EveX.

In doing so, Embraer separated Eve from its main business and turned it into an independent offshoot of EmbraerX known as Eve Urban Air Mobility Solutions, LLC. The company's foundation was announced by Embraer X on October 15, 2020, and its core mission is the advancement of Urban Air Mobility through the development of eVTOL aircraft and associated infrastructure.
