According to ArsTechnica, Austrian hacker Martin Herfurth has devised a technique to steal a Tesla electric automobile in just 130 seconds.

The technique included a function to access doors and start the engine through an NFC device - a specific plastic card, key fob, or smartphone with an app - in last year's upgrade.

After opening the automobile with a legitimate key, the system goes into automated registration of new keys over Bluetooth for 130 seconds, according to Herfurth. The Teslakee app was created by the researcher using the programming language used by Tesla.

The smartphone with the app was turned into a key after the key was successfully communicated to the car's onboard computer. Herfurth was successful in seizing control over the Tesla 3 and Y.

Martin Herfurth insisted that he had already given the corporation all of the information.
