At its fall event, Apple unveiled an updated lineup of smartwatches with significant improvements.

Here’s a detailed look at what’s new in the Apple Watch Series 11, Apple Watch Ultra 3, and Apple Watch SE 3.

Apple Watch Series 11

The new Series 11 looks similar to its predecessor but comes with notable internal upgrades. The biggest change is a slimmer case compared to the previous generation.

It features a 1.96-inch LTPO display with peak brightness of 2,000 nits. The protective glass is now twice as resistant to scratches as before.

Apple also addressed the chipping issue that affected the Series 10 in Jet Black by introducing a more durable coating resistant to damage.

The watch supports 5G RedCap for fast connectivity without added power drain and includes enhanced GPS with a satellite-based Emergency SOS feature.

On the health side, the main addition is blood pressure trend tracking. The watch alerts users if it detects signs of hypertension over several days, though it does not provide exact readings. It can also give preliminary detection of sleep apnea.

Battery life has been extended to a full day on a single charge. Users will also get two new watch faces, including one in a “liquid glass” style. Pricing starts at $399.

Apple Watch Ultra 3

The Apple Watch Ultra lineup now includes a third generation, replacing the Watch Ultra 2 from 2023. The flagship model features a 49 mm titanium case and a larger LTPO3 display, made possible by slimmer bezels while keeping the same overall dimensions.

The Ultra 3 also supports 5G RedCap and dual-band GPS for more precise tracking.

Battery life reaches up to 42 hours, designed for two to three days of active use. For the first time in the lineup, it includes satellite connectivity for transmitting coordinates to emergency services in the U.S., provided free for three years — a key feature for extreme conditions.

The watch is available in black and natural titanium, with new watch faces and band colors. The package also includes new straps made from recycled nylon. Pricing starts at $799.

Apple Watch SE 3

Apple’s budget-friendly model, the Apple Watch SE 3, has also received notable updates.

It now comes with a faster S10 chip, delivering performance comparable to the flagship models, along with an upgraded display featuring Always-On Display — a departure from the simplified specs typically seen in the SE line.

For the first time, the SE includes fall detection and 5G modem support. Charging is also twice as fast as the previous generation. Pricing starts at $249.
