Apple is actively working on an all-screen iPhone, with the design likely to debut in 2027, according to MacRumors.
Upcoming iPhone models are expected to feature a smaller Dynamic Island, while the company is reportedly planning a redesigned model to mark the iPhone’s 20th anniversary, says Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. The special edition is said to include curved glass edges, “exceptionally thin” bezels, and a seamless display with no visible cutouts — making it the first truly all-screen iPhone.
Previously, journalist Wayne Ma from The Information reported that the iPhone 18 Pro will feature under-display Face ID, meaning only the front-facing camera would remain visible. However, this contradicts Gurman’s claims that the Dynamic Island will simply be reduced in size in upcoming models.
While these reports remain unconfirmed, most insiders agree: in 2027, users can expect a radically redesigned, all-screen iPhone.
