Apple’s first foldable iPhone is expected to debut in September this year without delays, according to Bloomberg.
The device is reportedly scheduled to launch during Apple’s traditional fall event alongside the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. This contradicts earlier reports from Nikkei, which suggested engineering challenges could push the release to 2027.

However, the complex display design could lead to limited availability at launch. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo previously warned that supply constraints may affect early shipments.
Apple has not officially confirmed the device, and mass production has not yet begun. Recent leaks suggest that trial production is already underway.
The foldable iPhone is expected to feature a 5.5-inch outer display and a 7.8-inch inner screen when unfolded. The device could measure around 4.5 mm thick and use a 4:3 aspect ratio, making it closer in form factor to an iPad. It is also expected to be wider and shorter than most foldable smartphones currently on the market.
