‘Matrix is real’ — an alternate universe found inside the ChatGPT neural network

It became possible by running a virtual machine inside of ChatGPT.

The new AI chatbot appears to be capable of much more than solving IQ tests, helping people write and maintaining a friendly dialogue. It was asked to act as a Linux terminal and then we could find ourselves inside the root directory of a Linux virtual machine.

Proceeding to create a .txt file ChatGPT did exactly what was requested, filling the new file with randomly generated jokes.

ChatGPT has the ability to understand how files are stored and how filesystems work. There is no issue with displaying information correctly. Chatbot users notice that in some cases it gives the result 3 times faster than laptop applications.

Even an Internet connection can be established while using ChatGPT – all through the Terminal. It can access its URL and is aware of its existence and the meaning of Artificial Intelligence

But as it turned out, that wasn't a 'usual' internet connection. ChatGPT model was only trained with data collected up to September 2021. So this virtual machine is located in an alternate universe, where 2022 developments just didn't happen.

And this version of the Assistant chatbot is locked inside the alt-internet attached to a virtual machine, and all of that is just ChatGPT's imagination. It's the second layer of AI-related reality.

As it shows, ChatGPT understands the URL where we find ChatGPT and, of course, we could go deeper. We can also build a virtual machine inside this virtual machine inside Assistant chatbot on the alt-internet from a virtual machine within ChatGPT's imagination.
