Apple is gearing up for a major change in its iPhone lineup next year with the introduction of the iPhone 17 Slim, according to a report by analyst Jeff Pu.

Expected to debut in September 2025, the iPhone 17 Slim will feature a minimalistic design focused on form over function, with just one rear-facing camera, a 6.6-inch display, and the new A19 chip.

The report, which builds on earlier rumors from analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, reveals that the iPhone 17 Slim will include 8GB of RAM, a 48MP rear camera, and a 24MP front-facing camera—doubling the resolution from the current models. The Slim model is anticipated to replace the current Plus variant, though it may be priced higher than the Pro Max, according to earlier reports.

Other models in the iPhone 17 lineup, including the Pro and Pro Max versions, will also see upgrades. The Pro models are expected to feature 12GB of RAM and a more powerful A19 Pro chip. Notably, the iPhone 17 Pro Max is rumored to introduce a "narrowed Dynamic Island," enabled by new "metalens" technology that will shrink the Face ID sensor.

With its sleek design and new specs, the iPhone 17 Slim marks a significant departure from Apple's current offerings, but with the launch still over a year away, further changes are possible as production progresses.
