Although in its early stages, Apple has grand plans for the future with its shift towards micro-LED display technology.

As per Bloomberg's latest report, Apple aims to integrate micro-LED technology across all its devices. However, it may take up to ten years for it to be implemented in Mac computers.

As a reminder, there has been much discussion recently about Apple's intentions to upgrade the display technology utilized in its devices. Alongside adopting micro-LED, Apple is also considering manufacturing its own displays internally, instead of solely depending on external partners such as Samsung and LG.

The implementation of micro-LED technology is set to begin with the release of the Apple Watch Ultra in 2024. However, it is not limited to just this device as Apple intends to integrate it into their entire range of products including iPhones, iPads, Macs and other Apple Watches. Although, it should be noted that micro-LED technology is still in its early stages and it may take around a decade for it to be fully integrated into all of these devices.

Micro-LED displays offer several advantages over mini-LED and OLED displays, such as increased brightness, more vibrant colors, and wider viewing angles. Additionally, with Apple moving towards producing their own displays, we anticipate significant advancements in energy efficiency and seamless integration with Apple products.
