The Tesla Wireless Charging Platform, a $300 wireless charger capable of charging up to three Qi devices simultaneously, was announced by Tesla.

The Tesla charging mat is similar to the AirPower that Apple intended to create because the three devices can be placed anywhere on the mat and receive up to 15W of power each. Tesla designed the charging mat with an angular look that was inspired by the Cybertruck. The mat has an aluminum housing with an alcantara surface and a detachable magnetic stand that can be used to charge devices flat or at an angle.

Aira's FreePower technology is being employed in Tesla's wireless charging mat. This same technology has been utilized in other wireless charging platforms, such as Nomad's Base Station Pro. However, the Base Station Pro had issues with charging certain devices, including the iPhone 12 and later, due to a firmware issue.

In contrast, Tesla's charging mat is limited to Qi-compatible devices like the iPhone and AirPods, and it does not have the ability to charge the Apple Watch. Tesla's concept is similar to what Apple attempted to achieve with the AirPower, but with some limitations.
