Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy has launched the Future of the Digital Economy: Business in the Metaverse academy in collaboration with the SEE Institute. This dedicated training programme aims to give digital start-ups the practical knowledge and tools they need to build a metaverse and use Web3 to their advantage.

Thirty companies from Dubai will be selected to participate in the academy. The training uses VR, AR and XR technologies to help participants experience and understand the dynamics of business in the metaverse.

Participants will attend four sessions on the core principles of Web3, its history and origins, as well as examples of successful and unsuccessful Web3 business strategies, and consider the value of NFT as a new way of communication between brands and customers.

Khalid Al Jarwan, Executive Director of Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, said the training academy is in line with the Chamber's strategy to support the growth of the digital economy sector, attract high-potential digital companies to Dubai and strengthen the emirate's position as a preferred hub for the digital economy.

Upon completion of the programme, participants will receive mentoring support in Dubai and access to a free sustainable co-working space, as well as the opportunity to share their success stories with an audience at Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy's events in 2023.
