The Arab world's music streaming platform Anghami has reported a 41% increase in monthly paying users in the first half of 2022 compared to the same period last year.

Meanwhile, the number of active users grew 46% year-on-year to 19.5 million users in the first half of the year. The company said that the growth in the number of active users led to an increase in advertising and subscription revenues.

Anghami's total revenue for the first six months of this year grew 29% year-on-year to $21.1 million.

As part of Anghami's plan to expand its platform in the MENA region, the company has entered into a number of partnerships in the first half of 2022. The company has struck a deal with Wajeez, a leading Arabic audiobook subscription service, Rotana Music, a leading label in the region and Saudi Arabia-based MBC Group. Besides, the company has acquired Spotlight Events, a live events company.
