Elon Musk filed a countersuit against Twitter on Friday, but details have not yet been made public – it was filed confidentially.
However, details of the 164-page document could become known, as court rules allow a redacted version to be made public soon.
The lawsuit was filed after the judge ruling on the case, Chancellor Kathaleen McCormick, issued an order Thursday night which establishes a schedule that includes a five-day trial to determine if Musk can back out of the deal. It is due to start on 17 October.
In April, Musk agreed to buy Twitter for $44 billion, but then he decided to pull out of the deal because, according to him, there is a huge number of spam and bot accounts. In response, Twitter sued to force Musk to complete the deal.
