SpaceX on Friday broke its record for the most rocket launches in a year with its 32nd successful launch of a Falcon 9 rocket, surpassing last year's total of 31 missions.

SpaceX delivered another batch of 46 Starlink Internet satellites into orbit on its 32nd launch. Friday's mission allows SpaceX to reach its goal of 52 orbital missions by the end of the year, nearly doubling the annual launch frequency of the reusable Falcon 9 rocket, which SpaceX says can fly up to 15 times.

"Congrats to SpaceX team on record number of launches!"

Musk, SpaceX's chief executive, tweeted after the mission.

To date, SpaceX has launched nearly 3,000 Starlink satellites into space.
