StartAD, the Abu Dhabi-based accelerator, with Ripple Blockchain Research, is inviting start-ups to participate in the three-week fintech Corporate Sprint Accelerator in Abu Dhabi.
To participate in the program, start-ups must be in the preliminary or seed stages of growth and have a completed stage of fintech product development, such as blockchain-based applications, digital distribution platforms for financial products, cryptocurrencies, identity and authentication, payment gateways, etc.
Accelerator participants will be sponsored to travel to the UAE. They will also be able to showcase their ventures at the annual GITEX technology exhibition, which will be held from October 10-14 this year.
StartAD’s managing director Ramesh Jagannathan said:
CSA 9 offers the most cutting-edge fintech start-ups a platform to put their best foot forward in the GCC, by opening doors to business deals and partnerships with leading local corporations, preparing start-ups for the region’s regulatory framework, providing access to investment opportunities, and building their network in the global financial services and start-up ecosystem.
During the programme, participants will be trained on how to build a brand, how to communicate with investors, media persons and leaders in the startup ecosystem.
In addition, participants will have the opportunity to receive an XRPL grant to work on open public blockchain solutions, worth around $25,000.
The deadline to apply is August 28.
Since its establishment, startAD has supported more than 380 start-ups, resulting in the creation of 66 pilot projects. These start-ups have generated $70 million in revenue and raised $100 million in funding. Last year's startAD Сorporate Sprint Accelerator was recognised as one of the top 10 fintech accelerators in the region.
