Elon Musk’s startup xAI is hiring finance professionals to train the Grok chatbot on financial deals, Bloomberg reports, citing company job listings.
According to the report, the company is actively recruiting Wall Street bankers, portfolio managers, traders, and credit analysts.
The new hires are expected to train Grok in financial modeling, including areas such as syndicated loans, where multiple lenders participate in a single agreement. The scope also includes distressed assets and niche bond markets. xAI is also looking for experts to work on cryptocurrency and equity markets.
The report does not specify the exact compensation offered. For comparison, OpenAI reportedly pays around $150 per hour for training AI models in financial tasks.
Earlier this year, SpaceX, also owned by Musk, announced the acquisition of xAI as part of plans to build what Musk described as “the most ambitious AI innovation center.” The combined entity has been valued at approximately $1.25 trillion.
