All platforms listed will be required to analyze and report potential issues related to the use of algorithms and AI.  

The list includes 19 online platforms, mostly developed by US-based for-profit firms, as well as a few international and European players, and one non-profit. All platform listed have more than 45 million monthly active users in the EU.

The regulated platforms, designated as very large online platforms (VLOPs) or very large online search engines (VLOSEs), will be required to analyze and report potential issues related to the use of algorithms and AI.

The DSA mandates the implementation of reasonable, proportionate, and effective mitigation measures for identified risks, with independent audits and oversight by the European Commission, and non-compliance penalties scaling up to 6% of global annual turnover.
