There is a milestone in Telegram's journey since August 2013, during which the platform has introduced hundreds of innovative features and grown to nearly one billion users—all without a marketing budget. In celebration, Telegram is launching several new features aimed at supporting content creators and enhancing user experience.

Among the new updates are Star Reactions and Star Subscriptions, which allow users to support their favorite channels and creators directly. Star Reactions enable users to send Telegram Stars, which creators can convert into Toncoin cryptocurrency rewards or subsidized ads.

Additionally, Star Subscriptions let content creators offer exclusive content in exchange for a monthly fee.

The update also introduces Paid Media for Bots, enabling channel owners to monetize content through bots and Telegram Business accounts. Developers can automate channels and offer services like image generation and video upscaling.

Moreover, Telegram is introducing Super Channels, allowing admins to post as their profiles or other channels, making channels feel more like groups.

Also on iOS, documents in .pdf, .xls or .docx formats now open in separate tabs in the Telegram browser to make it easier to switch between files and chat messages.

This latest update is available now for iOS users and those who downloaded Telegram directly from its website, with the Google Play version expected soon.
