Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition, a slimmer and lighter variant of its flagship foldable device.

The new model boasts slightly larger displays and an upgraded 200MP wide-angle camera, but for now, it will only be available in South Korea, with a possible release in China later.

The Galaxy Z Fold SE, priced at 2,789,600 KRW (~ $2,000), is set to go on sale starting October 25th. The device features a 10.6mm thickness and weighs 236 grams, making it 1.5mm thinner and 3 grams lighter than the recently launched Galaxy Z Fold 6. The inner display has grown to 8.0 inches, while the outer screen is now 6.5 inches.

Despite the improvements, the Z Fold SE doesn't address some concerns raised in reviews of the Galaxy Z Fold 6. However, it stands as the most advanced foldable Samsung has released, with 16GB of RAM standard and a sleek new design. For those interested in the latest foldable tech, importing the Z Fold SE may be the only option outside of South Korea.
