OpenAI launches new $100 ChatGPT Pro plan with reduced limits

OpenAI has introduced a new ChatGPT Pro subscription priced at $100 per month, while keeping the existing $200 Pro tier available.

The new plan offers the same core features as the higher-tier Pro subscription but with lower Codex usage limits. According to OpenAI, the $100 plan provides limits that are five times higher than the ChatGPT Plus subscription, while the $200 Pro plan continues to offer limits up to 20 times higher than Plus.

OpenAI now offers multiple ChatGPT tiers, including a free plan, Plus for $20 per month, the new $100 Pro plan, the existing $200 Pro tier, and business-focused subscriptions such as Business and Enterprise.

The move follows OpenAI’s broader pricing experiments. In summer 2025, the company launched the lower-cost ChatGPT Go plan in India before expanding it to additional markets, including the United States. In February 2026, OpenAI also began testing ads for users on the free and Go tiers.
