iPhone 20 Pro leak points to larger, nearly borderless displays

Apple is reportedly testing slightly larger screens for its 2027 iPhone 20 Pro models, along with a “borderless quad-curved” design that would change how the phones look from the front.

Leaker Digital Chat Station claims that an early iPhone 20 Pro display measures approximately 6.41 inches with a resolution of 2,686 × 1,236 pixels, while the Pro Max version measures about 6.96 inches at 2,912 × 1,340 pixels. Those would be modest increases over the current iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max, which Apple lists at 6.3 and 6.9 inches.

The more noticeable change could be the shape of the display, which the leaker says Apple is testing with curves along all four sides to create a nearly borderless appearance. Earlier reports described a 20th-anniversary iPhone with an uninterrupted screen, but Digital Chat Station now points to a smaller Dynamic Island-style cutout similar to the one on the iPhone 18 Pro. Apple may therefore still be weighing how much of the front-facing camera system it can hide beneath the display.

The rumored name would mark 20 years since the original iPhone launched in 2007. Apple is expected to skip the iPhone 19 name, echoing its jump from the iPhone 8 to the iPhone X in 2017, and release the Pro models in September 2027 after the regular iPhone 18 arrives earlier that year.
