Tesla started conducting extreme heat and durability tests in Dubai, as summer temperatures in the city rise to over 50C.

The tests took place across deserts in the emirate. The tested fleet included vehicles from Model Y, the refreshed Model X and Model 3.

Our field quality engineers head to Dubai at the hottest time of the year for extreme heat and durability testing. Temperatures reach over 122F/50C,

the automotive company wrote in a post on their official Instagram page.

Durability testing for cars is done to push vehicles past their limits, to assess if they can handle extreme conditions and to find potential improvements.
