References to a new $100-per-month Pro Lite plan have been spotted in the ChatGPT web app code.

The discovery was made by Tibor Blaho, a researcher known for accurate leaks about OpenAI updates.

OpenAI currently offers five tiers: Free, Go for $8, Plus for $20, Pro for $200, and the Business and Enterprise plans. The gap between Plus and Pro has long drawn criticism, it’s a 10× jump, forcing users who outgrow Plus to pay significantly more. Pro Lite at $100 appears designed to fill that middle tier.

Blaho found the identifier “chatgptprolite” in the app’s JavaScript and was able to access the checkout page. The backend API response explicitly lists the price at $100 per month including tax.

For now, the feature list on the payment page mirrors the full Pro plan — unlimited access to top models, advanced voice mode, priority Codex agent, and maximum image and video generation limits. Most likely, this is placeholder copy and the final offering will be more limited.

OpenAI has not officially announced the new tier. However, the existence of a live checkout page suggests a launch could be coming soon.
