Bloomberg's Mark Gurman shared this information in his Power On newsletter, stating that an October event would follow Apple's announcement of the iPhone 15 series in September.

Apple recently unveiled the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models in January, followed by the release of the 15-inch MacBook Air, Mac Studio, and Mac Pro models in June. Gurman suggests that the next iMac, 13-inch MacBook Air, and 13-inch MacBook Pro will be the first to benefit from the new M3 chip.

Gurman's previous report mentioned that new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models equipped with M3 chips, specifically the M3 Pro and M3 Max variants, are anticipated to launch in early 2024.

The M3 chip is expected to be built on TSMC's advanced 3nm process, which will result in significant performance and power efficiency improvements compared to the 5nm-based M2 chip used in Apple's most recent Mac models. TSMC began mass production of 3nm chips in late December.
