Apple aimed to move half of its iPhone production to India by 2027, however, reveled obstacles could call into question its plans.

Every second iPhone case manufactured in India is defective. According to the Financial Times sources, only 50% of the components produced at the Tata Group casings factory are in acceptable condition. This 'defective' part does not meet Apple's goal for zero defects.

There are also problems with logistics and infrastructure in India. If Apple does not handle these problems and does not establish the supply chain, the simultaneous launch of iPhone 15 production in India and China may fall under question.

As per Reuters, India's trade minister announced that Apple would aim to enhance manufacturing in India from current 5-7 % to 25%.
