Google is reportedly developing an AI system, codenamed "Project Jarvis," designed to handle web-based tasks for users by taking over the Chrome browser, The Information reports.
Jarvis would perform tasks such as gathering research, booking flights, or purchasing products. Jarvis interprets the user’s needs through screenshots and can autonomously click buttons and enter text, though it currently requires several seconds between actions.
The system is expected to be powered by Google’s next-generation Gemini model. Google may preview Jarvis in December, potentially making it available to a small group of testers to refine the tool.
