Apple may be dealing with one of its biggest product leaks since the infamous iPhone 4 incident.
Alleged photos and videos of an unannounced 14-inch MacBook Pro featuring the new M4 chip have surfaced online, sparking widespread speculation. Shared by Russian YouTube channels and a leaker known as "ShrimpApplePro," the leaks show a MacBook Pro with a 10-core CPU, 16GB of RAM, and 512GB of storage, all housed in a Space Black finish.
If real, this entry-level MacBook Pro could also feature upgraded specs, including three Thunderbolt 4 ports and a base RAM of 16GB, doubling the previous model’s 8GB minimum. The leaks suggest the MacBook Pro has no significant design changes from its predecessor.
The authenticity of the leaks remains debated, but multiple sources claim the device is already being offered for sale in private groups. Apple is expected to announce new M4-powered Macs later this month, with a potential release date of November 1st.
This leak could rival the 2010 incident when an Apple employee left an iPhone 4 prototype at a bar, raising questions about how Apple will handle the situation.
