Instagram rolls out comments for Stories with anti-trolling feature

Instagram has introduced a new feature allowing users to comment on Stories, adding a public interaction option that was previously unavailable.

However, to prevent trolling, Instagram has implemented two key restrictions: only people who follow the story creator can see the comments, and only mutual follows can leave comments. These measures aim to maintain a positive environment on the platform.

Story comments will disappear after 24 hours, in line with the temporary nature of Stories, and users can disable comments on a per-story basis if desired.
