OpenAI has acquired Rockset, a company known for real-time search and data analytics tools, to bolster its enterprise AI offerings. The financial terms were not disclosed.

Rockset's technology will be integrated into OpenAI's infrastructure, and its team will join OpenAI. According to OpenAI COO Brad Lightcap, Rockset’s infrastructure will help transform data into actionable intelligence for OpenAI’s products.

Founded in 2016, Rockset developed tools for ingesting and indexing data from various sources, supporting applications like recommendation engines and chatbots. With over $117.5 million raised from investors, Rockset's notable customers included Meta and JetBlue.

Rockset is OpenAI's second public acquisition, following the purchase of Global Illumination.
