Microsoft has launched its Copilot chatbot, based on OpenAI's GPT-4, on Telegram.

Previously integrated into Microsoft products like Office and Bing, Copilot can now be used on Telegram through the @CopilotOfficialBot, accessible on both mobile and desktop versions of the app.

The Copilot bot, currently in beta and free for all users, allows for text-based searches and queries on a variety of topics, from knowledge-seeking to travel tips and sports updates. However, users must share their Telegram-registered phone number with Microsoft to use the bot. It currently does not support image generation.

Meanwhile, Apple is also reportedly developing generative AI features for iOS 18, including AI-powered enhancements for iMessage, with a mix of on-device and OpenAI technologies expected to be announced at WWDC 2024.
