Anthropic, the creator of the Claude 3 family of AI models, has introduced an iOS app for Claude along with a new paid tier for team access to the models.

The Claude mobile app allows users to interact with the AI models as a chatbot and upload photos for image analysis, expanding accessibility beyond Anthropic’s website and third-party model libraries. According to Scott White, Anthropic's product manager, the company plans to release an Android version soon.

However, Anthropic faces competition from existing mobile AI apps like OpenAI’s ChatGPT and Gemini by Google. Despite this, the Claude app will be free for all users of the Claude AI models, including both free users and subscribers to Claude Pro and the new Claude Team plan.

The Team plan, also launched this month, offers access to Claude models for groups of at least five people at $30 per seat per month. Subscribers to this plan receive additional features compared to the Pro plan, including more chat queries, a larger context window for analyzing long documents, and enhanced administrative control.

With the release of the Claude 3 family of models in March and the recent investment of $4 billion by Amazon in September, Anthropic continues to expand its offerings and accessibility in the AI model space.
