In the upcoming iOS 18 update, iPhone users can anticipate significant enhancements across their devices, as hinted by tech insider Mark Gurman in his recent Power On newsletter.
Gurman revealed that iOS 18 will bring changes to several popular built-in apps like Photos, Mail, Notes and Fitness, as well as new features for the Calculator app, which will also debut on the iPad for the first time.
One of the most anticipated changes is the ability to freely place icons on the home screen, breaking away from the grid alignment. Additionally, the overall look and feel of iOS will undergo a facelift with a series of design tweaks, making app designs more modular and easier to update and customize, according to Gurman.
The official announcement of iOS 18 is expected at Apple's WWDC developer conference in June, with a keynote scheduled for June 10 at 10 AM PT. Meanwhile, Apple's spring product event on May 7 will unveil new iPad Pro and iPad Air lineups, increasing anticipation for upcoming software and hardware releases.
