Meta's latest software update for its Quest 2 and Pro headsets introduces a highly anticipated feature: lying down mode.

With the v63 update, users can now activate a setting that enables the headset to function while lying down, addressing a common request from users, especially those with health conditions that make wearing the headset while upright uncomfortable. Although initially tested and removed, this experimental option is now available.

To activate lying down mode, users can navigate to the Experimental Settings tab under the Settings menu on their headset and select "Use Apps While Lying Down."

Additionally, the v63 update introduces Quest Cash, a new payment method for the Meta Quest store. This system, set to launch later this month, allows users to purchase Quest Cash for themselves or as gifts. Aimed at providing parents with a monitored way for kids to make app purchases, Quest Cash comes with built-in budget controls to ensure responsible spending.
