FedEx is gearing up to challenge Amazon with its upcoming e-commerce platform, fdx, set to launch this fall.

The platform, described as a "data-driven commerce platform," aims to provide end-to-end e-commerce solutions for online merchants. By integrating existing FedEx commerce tools and incorporating features like a "custom post-purchase experience," fdx seeks to help businesses manage supply chains, enhance customer sales, and streamline deliveries.

Christina Meek, FedEx's global relations manager, emphasized that fdx is not a marketplace business, instead, it offers businesses "digital capabilities and insights" while allowing them to maintain control over the customer experience.

This strategic move by FedEx comes amid increasing competition with Amazon in the logistics sector, as both companies vie for dominance in the rapidly evolving e-commerce landscape.
