Microsoft has broadened the reach of its Copilot app by making it available on iOS and iPadOS, shortly after its Android debut.

The Copilot app, which was formerly known as Bing Chat, provides users with access to an AI chatbot that enables them to ask questions, compose text, and generate images. Similar to OpenAI's ChatGPT mobile app, Copilot also integrates with the text-to-image generator DALL-E3, allowing users to create images seamlessly.

Notably, Copilot offers access to GPT-4, the latest large language model from OpenAI, without requiring a subscription fee.

This move by Microsoft aligns with the company's strategy to establish Copilot as a standalone platform, mirroring the model of ChatGPT. Alongside the iOS and Android apps, Microsoft has developed a distinct web experience for Copilot, further separating it from Bing.
