Apple is gearing up for a Mac-focused product launch at the end of this month, according to reports from Bloomberg's Mark Gurman.

The announcement is expected to include the unveiling of a refreshed 24-inch iMac, a model long overdue for a hardware update, as the current version dates back to April 2021 and is still equipped with the M1 chip. Gurman speculates that the new iMac may feature the M3 chip, skipping the M2 entirely.

Evidence of an upcoming launch can be seen in Apple retail stores, where supplies of the current iMac, 13-inch MacBook Pro, and 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pro are running low. Some configurations of these devices won't be available until mid-November, leading to speculation that Apple is preparing to refresh these models.

The anticipated Mac announcement is predicted to occur on either October 30 or 31, with Apple's earnings call following on November 2.
