The integration will bring an advanced search experience to ChatGPT users, providing them with timely and up-to-date information directly within the chat interface.

The functionality will first roll out to ChatGPT Plus subscribers, with plans to extend it to all free ChatGPT users.

Yusuf Mehdi, Microsoft's head of consumer marketing, emphasized the strong collaboration between Microsoft and OpenAI, stating that their partnership is fundamental to the progress of the new Bing. The integration of Bing into ChatGPT is a significant achievement for Microsoft's search engine, especially after recent speculation that Samsung would switch from Google to Bing Search, which finaly did not materialize. The collaboration also presents the long-standing relationship between Microsoft and OpenAI, following Microsoft's multibillion-dollar investment in OpenAI earlier this year.
