Thanks to the new video call service, there is no need to personally visit the Dubai administration to complete visa and residency-related applications.

The video call service was launched on January 11, 2023 by the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA-Dubai).

The main requirement is a working front-facing camera on a smartphone. All applicants who have submitted visa transactions through official channels can now complete the application by sending a missing or additional document in the chat box during the video call with officers.

“The officer will review the missing or unclear documents to attach them to complete the transaction. This service will cut time and make the process simpler for customers,” Lt Gen Al Marri said.

The GDRFA provides all related services via the official website, app and now video call. Soon the service is expected to be available 24/7.
