At TwitchCon 2025, the streaming platform announced one of its biggest updates yet, focusing on new broadcast formats, AI-powered tools, and expanded monetization opportunities for streamers.

The headline feature is dual-format streaming, allowing creators to broadcast simultaneously in both vertical and horizontal orientations. This makes streams equally convenient to watch on smartphones and desktop screens without compromising quality.

Twitch also revealed a partnership with Meta, enabling users of Meta’s smart glasses to go live directly from their devices. The feature is still in development and will roll out alongside an updated version of the Twitch mobile app later this year.

Another major addition is AI-powered tools for creators. The new system automatically generates short highlight clips from past streams, making it easier for streamers to promote their content and boost audience engagement.

On the monetization side, Twitch will introduce a brand partnership hub, where companies can reach out directly to streamers for collaborations and campaigns.

The platform is also rolling out two new account roles:

  • Lead moderator, with advanced chat management tools;
  • Creator representative, allowing agents or managers to handle brand deals and business communications.

In addition, Twitch has updated its moderation policies and expanded Creator Clubs — niche-based communities that now offer deeper ways for creators and fans to interact.
