Telegram has released update 12.2.9 for Android and 12.2.2 for iOS, introducing several useful new features.

One of the highlights is a much easier way to add music to your Stories. Users can now attach tracks saved to their profile or recently received in chats directly while creating a Story.

How to add music to a Story

  1. Open the Story creation screen. On Android tap the camera button, on iOS swipe right from the main screen.
  2. Select the photo or video you want to post, or record one directly in Telegram.
  3. Tap the sticker-plus icon and choose “Sound” from the menu that appears.
  4. Pick a track. You can upload one from your device or choose from your saved and recently received audio.

Telegram introduced the ability to add music to profiles at the end of August. It’s part of the public playlists feature, which lets users upload their own audio files or save tracks from others to their profile.
