Telegram has officially announced its February update, introducing several notable features across Android and iOS.

Major redesign on Android

The Android app has received a full interface overhaul. According to Telegram, navigation and search are now faster and more intuitive. A new bottom navigation bar allows instant switching between chats, settings, profile, and other sections.

The interface code has also been rewritten to improve smoothness across devices. Users can disable animations and visual effects via the Power Saving section in settings.

On iOS, Telegram has added more “liquid glass” visual elements, visible in photo and video viewing, sticker and emoji panels, and various contextual menus.

The iPad version now supports a keyboard shortcut that allows users to send messages using ⌘ + Enter.

Leaving groups with admin transfer

When a group owner leaves a chat, they will now see a confirmation window allowing them to immediately assign a new owner.

Group and channel owners can also transfer their rights to another member at any time without leaving the chat.

Colored bot buttons

Bot developers can now customize buttons with colors and emoji, making it easier to highlight specific actions and improve user interaction.

Gift crafting

Telegram has introduced a crafting mechanic for collectible gifts. Users can combine up to four existing gifts to create upgraded versions classified as rare, epic, or legendary.

New gifts receive unique visual designs and effects. Each additional gift increases the crafting success rate, and combining items with matching attributes raises the probability that those attributes will carry over to the new item.
