Telegram has released version 12.0, introducing a host of new features.
Here’s a look at everything new in the messenger:
Songs from any chat can now be added to your profile with a single tap in the player. Once added, the track will appear in a panel below your avatar.
As users add more tracks, Telegram automatically creates a playlist that collects all previously pinned songs.
User profiles on Android now feature a refreshed design with smooth scrolling animations, bringing them closer to the iOS experience.
Users can now choose which tab will appear first when someone opens their profile. For instance, you can make “Gifts” the primary tab while pushing “Stories” to the background.
Telegram has added dozens of new dynamic wallpapers for chats based on Telegram gifts. Owners of these gifts can now use them as custom themes in any private chat.
The wallpapers’ appearance depends on the gift itself: each collectible creates a unique theme using its model and background. One gift unlocks one theme for one chat.
Users can also send Stars to cover the cost of upgrading a gift in someone else’s profile — useful if the recipient doesn’t have enough Stars or didn’t realize upgrades were possible.
A new “Upgradable” filter makes it easier to find gifts that can be enhanced, and the “Upgrade Next Gift” button lets you upgrade several gifts in a row.
Each gift now includes a new “Value” field, showing its approximate resale price. Users can also open detailed statistics to see average sale prices for other items in the same collection.
Telegram has even added an animation to the gift-upgrade process.
The new @Stickers mini-app lets users create stickers and emoji, manage their packs, and view detailed usage statistics.
Anyone can create unique packs and share them with the community through Telegram’s open platform for stickers and emoji.
