Telegram is testing several new features in the iOS beta, as spotted by Durov’s Code.
In beta version 12.5, two experimental additions were discovered: protection against forwarding content from private chats and automatic reminder creation based on detected dates.
The beta allows users to prevent their contacts from copying, saving, or forwarding content from one-on-one conversations.

To enable the restriction, users need to open a contact’s profile and select “Edit” → “Restrict Saving Content.” The feature is currently unstable and still under testing.
The app can now automatically detect time-related phrases in messages and suggest creating reminders. It highlights words like “today,” “tomorrow,” or specific dates such as “April 1.”

When a reminder is created from a group chat, the notification is sent to the user’s “Saved Messages.” This ensures delivery even if group notifications are muted or the user later leaves the chat.
