Telegram tests its own casino platform. Here’s how it works

Telegram appears to be testing a new feature called Emoji Stake, according to Durov’s Code.

Here’s what it is and how it works.

Emoji Stake functions as a casino-style game. The feature was first discovered in Telegram’s code in late December 2025, but it is not yet publicly available and remains in testing.

Users can place a bet in TON and roll a virtual dice.

The system includes a “streak” mechanic. A winning streak resets after three games or if the bet amount changes.

If the dice roll lands between 1 and 3, the user loses. Potential payouts currently look like this:

• 4 → 1.5× the bet
• 5 → 2× the bet
• 6 → 3× the bet
• Three consecutive 6s → 6× the bet

It’s important to note that this is a beta version, and the mechanics are not fully finalized. Payouts and rules may change before the feature is officially released.

Earlier in February and May 2025, Telegram carried out a large-scale crackdown on casino bots. Several major projects with millions of users were blocked.

The platform also restricted keywords such as casino, freespin, and their equivalents in search. Attempts to find such content in Telegram’s global search now return no results.

At the time, the stricter moderation was widely seen as an effort to reduce potential regulatory risks amid ongoing IPO rumors.
