Telegram now lets users report intimate images or videos that have been posted on the platform without their consent.
For now, the feature is only available to users in the United States, where Telegram has launched a dedicated bot called @TIDABot. The bot was created to comply with the U.S. TAKE IT DOWN Act, federal legislation aimed at curbing the distribution of non-consensual intimate content, including AI-generated deepfakes.

When a user discovers an intimate image or video featuring them, or content that depicts their identity, they can submit a report through @TIDABot. Telegram has committed to reviewing each report and removing the relevant content within 48 hours.
The company has not yet indicated whether it plans to offer a similar reporting tool to users in other countries.
