The United States Mint has announced plans to issue a $1 coin featuring Apple co-founder Steve Jobs.
Part of the American Innovation series, the coin depicts a young Jobs wearing his signature black turtleneck, jeans, and sneakers, alongside the words “make something wonderful.”
“This design presents a young Steve Jobs sitting in front of a quintessentially northern California landscape of oak-covered rolling hills. His posture and expression, as he is captured in a moment of reflection, show how this environment inspired his vision to transform complex technology into something as intuitive and organic as nature itself,” the U.S. Mint said in a statement.
The coin will go on sale in 2026 through the U.S. Mint’s official website, priced at $13.25. It will also be available as part of a four-coin collector’s set honoring American innovators.
