Spotify has unveiled one of its most unusual hardware collaborations yet. The company partnered with Liquid Death to introduce the Eternal Playlist Urn, a Bluetooth speaker designed in the form of a funeral urn.
The device is positioned as a way “to bring your music somewhere it’s never been before” — into the afterlife. Spotify describes it as the world’s first wireless speaker created specifically for this concept.

The Eternal Playlist Urn is currently available in the U.S. in limited quantities, priced at $495.

Alongside the hardware launch, Spotify also introduced the Eternal Playlist Generator for users in the U.S. The feature builds a personalized playlist after users answer a short set of prompts such as “What’s your eternal vibe?” or “What’s your go-to ghost noise?” The system then combines those responses with listening history to generate what Spotify calls a mix “fit for a lifetime… and beyond.”
