SpaceXAI launches Grok 4.6: What’s new

SpaceXAI has released its new Grok 4.6 language model, the company announced in a blog post.

Grok 4.6 is positioned alongside OpenAI’s GPT-5.6 Sol and Anthropic’s Claude Fable 5 in terms of intelligence. The model scored 61 points on the Artificial Analysis Intelligence Index, matching GPT-5.6 Sol and trailing Fable 5 Max by just one point.

The new model is designed for coding, knowledge work and autonomous AI agents. It can handle multi-step tasks, navigate unfamiliar codebases and test its own work.

Grok 4.6 is already available through Cursor, Grok Build, SpaceXAI’s API and other platforms. API pricing starts at $2 per million input tokens and $6 per million output tokens.

The launch comes a day after SpaceXAI and its recently acquired startup Cursor introduced Grok Bot, an advanced AI agent for Mac and iOS positioned as a virtual “coworker.”
