Sony is ending its strategy of bringing single-player PlayStation games to PC, Bloomberg journalist Jason Schreier reports.

The shift was confirmed by Hermen Hulst, head of PlayStation Studios, during an internal meeting with employees. According to Hulst, releasing first-party titles on PC had been damaging the PlayStation brand.

Under the new policy, upcoming projects from Sony's internal studios will remain exclusive to PlayStation consoles. The change directly affects several major upcoming blockbusters, including Marvel's Wolverine and Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet.

The restriction does not apply to all PlayStation games. Live-service and multiplayer titles such as Marathon will continue to launch across multiple platforms. Projects developed by third-party studios with PlayStation backing may also fall outside the new rule, following the same pattern as the March release of Death Stranding 2 on PC.
