Samsung presents its Galaxy S24 lineup with built-in AI

All models, Samsung Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 Plus и Galaxy S24 Ultra, are equipped with advanced artificial intelligence technology utilized for various functions.

According to the head of the mobile division at Samsung Electronics, Tae-Moon Roh, the new series signifies the beginning of an era of innovation in the mobile device industry for the next decade.

During a live broadcast on Samsung's YouTube channel, key features of the new devices were highlighted. The Galaxy S24 features a 6.2-inch screen, the S24 Plus has a 6.7-inch screen, and the Ultra comes with a 6.8-inch screen.

The new models are available in four colors: Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Plus are offered in Onyx Black, Sandstone Orange, Cobalt Violet, Sapphire Blue, Jade Green, Marble Grey, and Amber Yellow, while the Galaxy S24 Ultra is available in Titanium Black, Grey, Orange, Green, Blue, Yellow, or Violet variations. It's worth noting that the Galaxy S24 Ultra is the first in the Galaxy lineup to feature a titanium frame.

The new smartphone series includes an innovative universal artificial intelligence for smartphones—Galaxy AI, based on Samsung's own developments and collaborative projects with the industry. Tae-Moon Roh emphasized that Galaxy AI was created based on the company's innovative heritage and a deep understanding of how people use their smartphones.

The Galaxy S24 is powered by the new Exynos 2400 processor, but in some regions, the smartphones will be shipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy chip from Qualcomm, which differs from the regular Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 with increased frequencies.

The smaller S24 has 8 GB of RAM, while the Plus version has 12 GB. The storage capacity is 128 GB (only in S24), 256 GB, and 512 GB. Both smartphones have increased battery capacity compared to their predecessors: 4000 mAh in the Galaxy S24 and 4900 mAh in the Galaxy S24 Plus.

One of the AI features is two-way voice and text translation of phone calls in real-time through a pre-installed application, with complete conversation confidentiality. It's noted that additional language packs may be required for using the service, and the service's availability depends on the selected language.

The smartphones in the new lineup come with a special chat assistant in the applications, which helps choose the perfect tone for conversations. The Galaxy S24 series introduces a new ProVisual algorithm—a comprehensive set of AI-based tools to expand photography capabilities.

In terms of cameras, there are no changes in the new models compared to their predecessors: a main wide-angle camera with a resolution of 50 MP, an ultrawide-angle camera at 12 MP, and a telephoto camera at 10 MP, providing 3x optical zoom. The front module remains the same at 12 MP.

The dimensions of the Galaxy S24 are 147 x 70.6 x 7.6 mm, weighing 168 g, while the S24 Plus measures 158.5 x 75.9 x 7.7 mm and weighs 197 g.
